Geometrix Global Inc. was established in 1988. It has been the umbrella for many business opportunities, including Food Safety Training, introduced in 2006.
When the Toronto BY-LAW No. 678-2006 was initiated, Sharon Elston became registered with TrainCan, Inc. to deliver the Canadian employee-level BASICS.fst training program (course book and on-line version), "fst" stands for food safety training. Also offered is the ADVANCED.fst, for management level training. Both of these programs comply with the Canadian Food Retail and Foodservices Regulation and Code, Health Canada and CFIA.
Sharon also facilitates “Train-the-Trainer”, with head office approval, this course allows others to deliver the food safety programs within foodservice and healthcare fields. More information on food safety courses.

TrainCan certifications are recognized across Canada. Requirements may vary by Provincial and/or Municipal agencies. The Federal government has no national enforceable food safety standard/guideline at this time.
