Toronto Food Safety Training is a registered and approved facilitator, meeting the Smart Serve Ontario requirements.

Course Content

 

  • Understand and implement responsible alcohol service

  • Recognize the signs of intoxication and follow your legal obligations

  • Techniques for identifying and managing a patron who is approaching intoxication.

  • Promoting a hospitable environment by serving non-alcoholic beverages and encouraging alternative transportation

  • How to prevent problems from occurring and intervene when necessary

  • Civil and criminal liability

  • The impact of various alcohol-based drinks

What You Need To Know

 

  • Final Tests are available in all 6 languages (English, French, Chinese, Korean, Punjabi, and Spanish).

  • All fees are non-refundable.

  • All Final Tests must be completed independently and you will be Proctored.

  • A score of 80% or higher must be achieved to receive your Certification.

  • You will have two (2) attempts at the Final Test.

  • If you do not pass both times, then you must repurchase and take the course again.

How to Take the Exam

 

  • Complete the Toronto Food Safety In-class training (3 to 4 hours) 

  • Tokens are given by Toronto Food Safety Training to Participants for access to the Final TestParticipant Test Tokens are included with the workshop fee

  • Participants create an Online Account on Smart Serve website

  • Once redeemed, Tokens will expire in 30 days

  • All Final Tests are proctored online

  • All Certificate cards will be mailed directly to course participants/students from Smart Serve.

What to Bring

 

The Final Test is completed independently.  

 

Choose to take the Final Test at our facility, while the information is fresh. The instructor is available to help you set it up. Or you can take the Final Test at home.

At our Facility or at home you need a laptop, tablet, or Smartphone with webcam capabilities.  

 

All tests are proctored and monitored by webcam for integrity.
