BASICS.fst® - In Class

We understand online study is not for everyone. People have different learning styles and challenges. 

This workshop is a 6 to 7 hour day full of fun interaction to help keep you focused. The  exam is at the end of the day. Wonderful for team building while getting the required food handler certification.

 

These workshops are accredited with the local, provincial, federal jurisdictions as well as Ontario Ministry of Education, Hospitality programming (George Brown, Humber, Centennial, Guelph, Seneca...).

Required as a credit for hospitality, food service, and personal support worker (PSW) programs with Ontario private colleges.

BASICS.fst® - Online

When you register to study online, you receive a PIN number for access to the on-line food safety training manual.

Once the material has been successfully completed, you will be issued a form of completion to bring to the exam. The pass grade is 74%.

BASICS.fst® - Online - Enhanced  

 

The Enhanced online format includes the study material as well as an in-person proctor for the exam. After completion of the online exam material. schedule your exam with a briefing of what you need to know prior to writing. 

 

The briefing is approximately one hour to inform you of important points and to answer any questions.

ADVANCED.fst - In Class

ADVANCED.fst® is for Canadian management level food safety training. It focuses on the role of foodservice and food retail leaders in measuring risks, setting policies, training and supervising employees.

An one day entertaining workshop with the exam at the end of the day. Wonderful for team building.

The advantage of in class is an in-person instructor to guide you through the material and answer  questions specific to your operation. 

The pass grade is 75%.

ADVANCED.fst® - Online 

 

ADVANCED.fst® is for Canadian management level food safety training. It focuses on the role of foodservice and food retail leaders in measuring risks, setting policies, training and supervising employees.


Please note that you have one month to complete this course from when you first start (not from the date of purchase).  Your PIN and PASSWORD will expire one month after your first login.

The course fee includes the invigilated exam that you must write after completing the online preparation course. 

Once the material has been successfully completed, you will be issued a form of completion. The pass grade is 75%.

There are 2 formats to take this course online:

  1. With a live proctor at our location, Yonge and Eglinton.

  2. With a webcam proctor on your computer.

TRAINER-THE-TRAINER

The TRAIN-THE-TRAINER Program goal is to provide participants with a solid understanding of the concepts and principals of teaching adults.

 

The facilitator of this program mentors course participants through the learning process including comprehension of course content AND uncovering their unique training style.

Understand how adults learn the fundamentals of programs.

Train-the-Trainer is about showcasing your training style with practice presentations. A 90% grade in the ADVANCED.fst is required for trainer status.
