I love this Futuro pressure cooker from Fagor. Through much research for quality and best price in Canada, I purchased mine from Bruce at Fast Cooking. He told me t to ask you to “Tell them Sharon Elston, The Spice Lady in Toronto sent you”. They will treat you well and are waiting for your call.
Bruce literally spent hours answering my questions. The only issue with this company is that the only method of payment they accept is bank account money transfers. I found this to be effortless and efficient, as they shipped my item to be received the next day for only $9.00. My pressure cooker came in record breaking time for my class.
Bruce also emailed me information so I would be a pro to explain use to my class the very next next day. I was very impressed with his professionalism, honesty and sense of urgency.
All that’s required for the Fagor Futuro is to:
understand if the food would be a 1 or 2 pressure.
heat the food on high until the yellow spike comes up.
put the heat down to low.
heat from 5 to 30 minutes depending upon density of food. Ribs, shanks, and tougher cuts go from 15 to 30 minutes depending on quantity. You need at least 1/2 cup of liquid.
take off the heat.
Stand back and wear a glove so you don’t get burned by the steam. Move the dial to the steam image.
Wait for the steam to escape. Open and serve.
There are security locks to protect you from anything that might explode. No worries anymore. This ain’t your grandma’s pressure cooker.
